Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) classes at The HIT Squad are taught by BJJ black belt Lucas Lopes, and incorporate beginner and high-level techniques that have been proven in competition time and time again. Lucas received his black belt after 16 years of training, competing against many of the best grapplers in the world on his journey.
New comers to Jiu-Jitsu are given individual attention, instilling the fundamentals of grappling while easing the student into the program. We focus on making all of our classes intimidation free and pride ourselves on the friendly, safe atmosphere around our facility.
Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are available for children starting at the age of 4. To learn more about our kid’s classes, visit our Youth Classes page here.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is perfect for individuals who are looking to scratch that competitive itch without going in to work with a black eye. Jiu-Jitsu focuses on grappling, subduing an opponent using control and submissions, not striking, and it is an excellent way to learn self-defense. The average person knows absolutely nothing about grappling, and even a short time in jiu-jitsu class is guaranteed to teach functional self-defense techniques in the student.
